Welcome to Cakes by KatieThank you for visiting my website! I specialize in baking and decorating wedding cakes along with all types of special occasion cakes upon request. I am a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America with an Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry. I started my career off at the bottom of the totum poll working for Todd English as a dessert plater. Over the years I worked my way up the ladder gaining knowledge and experience along the way. I became the executive Pastry Chef for Smith and Wollensky Restaurant where I spent five years running their pastry department. I am currently the Pastry Chef at the House of Blues in Boston where I create the desserts for their two restaurants, all the special events and parties, along with the food for the band and musical artists that perform there. I am a single mother working two jobs to support my daughter. I am hard working and very dedicated to the two most important loves of my life, my child and my career! I take pride in baking every cake from scratch and thus your cake will taste delicious in every way. I can put just about anything in butter cream frosting. Choose any combination of flavors from the list above or if you are looking for something a little bit different contact me with your special requests. TastingsThe easiest part of planning your wedding will be choosing your cake, and a yummy process at that!! Schedule a tasting and design session where we can sit and plan your cake for your special day. I encourage you to bring your own idea: pictures, printouts, fabric colors, ribbons, flowers etc. PricingAn estimate can be given upon contact, once flavors and designs have been chosen a more accurate price can be given. Custom cakes are not priced like food. Most cakes are incredibly time consuming to create depending on size and complexity of the design. If you have a specific budget let me know and I can design a cake to fit within your needs. Cake orders priced under $150 must be paid in full 7 days prior to delivery or pick up. Orders exceeding $150 will require a $100 deposit at time of order and the remaining balance paid in full 7 days prior to delivery or pick up. DeliveryThere is a $30 standard delivery fee for all cakes. You may choose to pick up your cake if you prefer, a date and time can be arranged to fit both our schedules. ContactKatie Graham
